Development of Incompressible Solver for Multi-Fluid and Magneto-Fluid Flows |

An incompressible solver is developed for the simulation of multi-fluid and magneto-fluid flows. A general second-order projection method has been developed for incompressible flows, which bridges the classical projection method and standard SIMPLE method. The volume of fluid (VOF) method and level set method are employed to capture the interface for multi-fluid flows. A subcell model is described to accurately calculate the mass transfer across the interface. A current conservative scheme developed on structured and unstructured meshes for simulations of magneto-fluid flows will be briefly reviewed and discussed. The applications of the incompressible solvers multi-fluid and magneto-fluid flows will be given. |
