On the Hyperbolic system of a mixture of Eulerian fluids with Multitemperature |

The first rational model of homogeneous mixtures of fluids was proposed by Truesdell in the context of Rational Thermodynamics. After that there was two different theories: one with a single temperature and another one with multitemperature. The two systems are from mathematical point of view completely different and it was not clear the relationship between the solutions of the two theories. In this talk we present some recent results in which we prove that the single temperature model is a "principal subsystem" of the one with multitemperature and we discuss the implications of the sub-characteristic conditions. Moreover for both model we study the global behavior of smooth solutions for large time. |
