Relaxation Equation in Non-Maxwellian Flows with Vibrational Non-Equilibrium |
講演要旨: |
In order to close the Navier-Stokes system which governs dissipative and vibrationally relaxing gas flows a first-order vibrational relaxation equation (vibrational energy balance) is established with the aid of a Chapman-Enskog procedure starting from a zeroth-order distribution function in vibrational non-equilibrium but in rotational equilibrium. The first-order vibrational energy production terms appearing in this equation result from the interaction of the internal modes and are of the order of magnitude of the rotational relaxation time to the vibrational relaxation time. In the case of a small non-equilibrium the linearization of these terms enables the equation to be written under a tractable form and as a function of known quantities. As for the vibrational heat flux terms appearing too in the relaxation equation it may also be simplified and expressed under a form analogous to the frozen case. |
