High Temperature Low Cycle Fatigue of Steel and Their Welds |
講演要旨: |
The results of high temperature low cycle fatigue (HTLCF) testing on 316L(N) base material, 316 and 316 (N) Weld Metal and weld Joints of 316 L (N) prepared with 316 Weld Metal would be presented along with some results on modified 9Cr-1Mo base material. It would be shown that HTLCF of the steel is influenced by a variety of time dependent processes. Dynamic Strain Aging (DSA) is an important damage mechanism in Austenitic Stainless Steels. Weld joints show poor HTLCF life because of easy crack initiation and propagation in the coarse grain heat affected zone. The behavior of Weld Metal is determined by transformation kinetics of δ-ferrite and is therefore dependent on temperature and strain rate of testing. Tensile hold periods reduce LCF lives of both base metal and welds due to oxidation and creep effects. The results of influence of temperature and strain rate effects on modified 9Cr-1Mo Steel show that oxidation plays an important role in reduction of life at high temperature and low strain rates. |
