| 講演要旨： | In the first part of the talk the history of stochastic models related to rarefied gas dynamics is sketched. Then the direct simulation Monte Carlo method for the Boltzmann equation is discussed. Finally some recent directions of study (general interactions, Boltzmann type equations) are considered. |

| 講演題目： | Macroscopic models for radiative transfer |
| 講演要旨： | In recent years, due to a wide range of applications, the interest in numerically tractable approximations to the radiative heat transfer equations has drastically increased. We will discuss two such classes of approximations, namely the SPN hierarchy of higher-order diffusion approximations and the Partial Moment Entropy hierarchy. Numerical comparisons between both methods will be presented. |
