Green's function for Boltzmann equation |

With Shih-Hsien Yu, we consider the Green's function for the linearized Boltzmann equation. Through the combination of spectral analysis, Picard-types iterations, and weighted energy method, we obtain the global picture of the Green's function. We then apply this to study the solutions to the full Boltzmann equation. We show that the solutions exhibit initial layers and a weak version of Huygen's principle. |
