From Atomistics to Material Behaviour |

Multiscale Modelling is one of the greatest challenges in developing improved materials. Informations from phenomena derived for relevant time scales on lower dimensions is typically used as input for larger length scales. Simulation methods from physics, materials science and engineering are combined to show the potential of this modelling approach for the problem of precipitation hardened steels. New insights into the material behaviour will be given and the relevant aspects of material embrittlement are derived. |
