講演要旨: | In the lecture a brief information on the structure, teaching and research activities of Warsaw University of Technology will be given. Then detailed survey of research achievements and current activities of Combustion Modeling Group will be presented. This includes following themes: Internal Combustion Engines Flows, Combustion and Emissions, Gas Detonations, Ignition, Gas and Dust Explosions, Chemical Kinetics of Combustion. |

講演題目: | Free surface oscillation characteristics of a liquid bridge subjected to horizontal vibrations |
講演要旨: | Materials processing experiments in a micro-gravity environment has shown that high quality materials with many useful functions can be produced in space. Therefore, various ongoing projects are aiming to study the utilization of the space environment and to study techniques for materials’production. The floating zone (FZ) is one such method, in which a liquid bridge of molten material is formed between solid rods. The liquid bridge is supported between the upper and lower rods by surface tension forces. |
